MURDER-SUICIDE INVESTIGATION

Santa Cruz Dr. Moscow Mills, MO.

Lincoln County, MO (June 21, 2022):  Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Detectives and the Lincoln County Coroner’s Office are currently investigating an apparent murder-suicide. The incident resulted in the death of one adult female and one adult male.

On June 21, 2022, at approximately 4:41 PM, local law enforcement responded to a call for a suicidal male subject at a residence in the 300 block of Santa Cruz Dr. in Moscow Mills. Arriving officers learned that a female adult was also in the residence. There were no sounds of a disturbance and all attempts to contact the persons in the residence were met with silence.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and St. Charles County SWAT teams responded to the scene. When officers entered the home, they located a female and a male adult who suffered from apparent gunshot wounds. Both suspect and victim were pronounced deceased on the scene. Their identities are not being released pending the notification of family members. The investigation is ongoing, but the shooting appears to be the result of a domestic altercation. Any additional information will be released as it becomes available.
