Teen Fatally Shot during a Domestic Disturbance at a
residence in Lincoln County

Lincoln County, 12/31/2023 ~ The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a
911 call reporting a person shot at a residence in rural Lincoln County on Dodson
Road, Troy, Missouri. The incident involved a Domestic Disturbance that resulted
in the death of a 16-year-old male by gunshot wound.

All parties involved in the incident have been accounted for and were transported
to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office for interviews as the investigation unfolds.
Sheriff Rick Harrell expressed his deepest condolences stating, “Our hearts go out
to the family and friends of the victim. The loss of a young life is a tragedy, and we
are committed to a thorough and transparent investigation to fully understand all
the events as they happened.”

The Sheriff’s Office is working closely with the Lincoln County Coroner’s Office
to gather all the facts in this case. The Sheriff’s Office extends its appreciation to
the community for their cooperation and emphasizes that the safety of our
community is a top priority.
