UPDATE: Human remains identified in Lincoln County

(Troy, MO) – Human remains discovered earlier this week in the area of Old Hwy 79, near Hwy M in Elsberry in Lincoln County have been identified as that of Timothy Padfield who disappeared on May 30th, 2019, near Annada, MO in Pike County.

The Lincoln County Coroner’s Office was able to scientifically confirm the identity of the remains with the use of dental records. Padfield was 60 years old at the time of his disappearance. A K9 team and drone were used to search the area however no further remains were located. The Coroner’s Office will continue to work with experts to attempt to determine the manner and cause of death.

We would like to recognize the assistance of the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, MRC K9 Technical Rescue Team Region C, the Wright City Fire Protection District Drone Pilots, and the Water Patrol Division of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

This Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information from anyone who may have had contact with Padfield prior to his disappearance in 2019. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Division at 636-462-6513.
